2007 Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade
Here are pictures of the Tree Lighting Parade held Friday November 23rd. Santa and Mayor Scanlon kicked off the holiday season with the lighting of the City tree in Old Ish Park

2008 Junior Olympics Opening Ceremonies
This year the IShpeming Ski Club hosted the 2008 Junior Olympic Ski Jumping and Nordic combined Champoinships at the Al Quaal Recreation Area and Suicide Bowl in Ishpeming.

Christmas Celebration in Downtown
A live nativity, sleigh rides and caroling were all part of the last Thursday before Christmas celebration. Cookies and hot chocolate were served in Ezekiel Bookstore throughout the evening

The annual Main Street Halloween Party was held this past Saturday. Children (and parents) had a great time with games and food for all.

Sled Dog Races, February 24th, 2007
This year we celebrate the Ishpeming's Ski Club in tradition. The Main Street Program and the downtown business owners brought back the sled dog races. This was the first time in over 20 year. We keep with tradition and only allowed boys and girls 16 and under to race. Check out these pictures to see what fun the kids and their dogs had.

Torch Trek Youth Ski Fun Race
The Ishpeming Main Street Program and the Noquemanon Ski Committee will be hosting the annual Torch Light Trek Youth Fun Ski Race in downtown Ishpeming to kick off the Noquemanon Ski Events. The non-competitive skiing event is for children of all ages and will begin at 6:00pm at Elixir Smoothies and Gifts which is located at 114 S. Main Street. The trail will start approximately at Cleveland and Main Street and then go up to Canda Street. The kids will then turn around by Lake Street and head back to 114 S. Main Street.
